ABOVE MAP: The 2014 Congressional Art Competition will be held at the Indian River State College, located in the Richardson Center at 6155 College Lane in Vero Beach, FL.

MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Congressman Bill Posey (R-Rockledge) will host, and the public is invited to attend, the 2014 Congressional Art Competition entitled “An Artistic Discovery” on Saturday, May 3 in the Richardson Center at the Indian River State College in Vero Beach.

POSEY-BILL-180-34This year’s artwork will feature “Patriotic Works of Art.”Awards will be presented at 10:30 a.m. Music will be performed by Indian River Charter School’s choir and orchestra.

“This is an exciting opportunity for talented young artists in the 8th District to showcase their works of art to our community,” said Congressman Posey.

This year’s winner will have his or her artwork displayed in the Capitol in Washington, D.C., and artwork by the first and second runners up will be put on display in Congressman Posey’s Washington and Florida offices, respectively.
