‘Tee’s Jed Bradley Named FSL Pitcher of the Week

Brevard County Manatee Southpaw Hurled Six Shutout Innings In Win Over Lakeland

VIERA, FLORIDA – The Florida State League announced on Monday that Brevard County Manatees left-handed pitcher Jed Bradley was named the league’s pitcher of the week for the period of April 14-20.

FSL-LOGO-180-1On April 16, Bradley threw six shutout innings and earned the win as the Manatees defeated the Lakeland Flying Tigers, 1-0 at Space Coast Stadium. The southpaw threw 76 pitches with 52 of them going for strikes, while allowing just two hits, striking out five and not issuing a walk.

AVERAGING MORE THAN EIGHT K’s PER NINE INNING

Entering play on Monday, Bradley has the fourth highest strikeouts per nine innings pitched ratio in the FSL as he is averaging 8.80 strikeouts per nine innings. In three starts thus far in 2014, Bradley is 2-1 with a 4.70 ERA and has 15 strikeouts versus just two walks in 15.1 innings of work.

Bradley was the 15th overall selection by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2011 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft out of Georgia Tech.
