In demand of higher pay for fast food workers, major union leaders planned an international-wide employee walkout at fast-food chains.
Service Employees International Union, which represents more than 2 million members, enlisted protesters to gain public support for $15-an-hour wage. Businesses say such pay hikes would hurt their ability to create jobs.
