BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Cocoa Beach, Florida based Quantum Technology Sciences has announced the opening of its second perimeter security and intrusion detection demonstration site.

Quantum Technology Sciences designs and sells intrusion detection and surveillance solutions to safeguard highly valued assets, critical infrastructure, borders, and perimeters.

Founded in 1991, Quantum is the first security and surveillance company to maintain an awareness perimeter where threats in the air, water and land are detected, tracked, and classified in real-time.

“Knowing is everything,” says Quantum CEO Mark Tinker, PhD. “To witness our systems detect and classify visibly obstructed or inaudible threats inevitably results in an ‘ah-ha’ moment. We’ve seen clients gain that level of understanding at our demo site in Florida, and now we are prepared to unveil it in Texas.”

While Quantum’s solutions can stand alone, development is already underway to incorporate partner technologies at the demonstration site to show how Quantum’s non-line-of-sight solutions enhance the intrusion detection performance of typically used sensors such as cameras, UAVs, and radar.

Quantum’s customers enjoy the benefits of the concealed technology and understandably don’t prefer demonstrations at their facilities.

This perimeter security and surveillance system uses one or more of Quantum Technology Sciences proprietary Smart Nodes and proprietary Smart Sensors to establish a 360°x360° awareness zone around the asset which is monitored autonomously around the clock.

With the opening of this new location in Houston, the company can better accommodate potential clients around the country.

During demonstrations, viewers see in real-time how the seismic-acoustic systems detect and classify potential threats not only at and within a security perimeter, but well beyond, out to a more extensive awareness perimeter.

The expanded awareness zone enables proactive security, where threats can be identified and more effectively deterred or neutralized before doing harm.

For example, a walking threat is detected more than a football field’s distance away. Demonstrations will include hands-on participation to illustrate the ease and speed of deploying Quantum’s portable, remote solutions.

Demonstrations are available to qualified companies by request. Interested organizations may contact Allen Gillam, director of field applications engineering, at 321-868-0288 or visit qtsi.com/demo.
