BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Port Canaveral has arrived as a major entertainment venue as it hosted more than 5,000 punk rock fans for the Summer Nationals concert series at Port Canaveral’s Exploration Tower on Saturday.

Headlining the punk rock concert at the Port was The Offspring, Bad Religion and Pennywise.
“This is an awesome place,” said Joey Valutti of Cocoa. “We love the Port and this has been a blast. Now we don’t have to go to Tampa or Orlando to see concerts like this anymore.”
Despite the large crowd, there was only one arrest as of 8 p.m., and Brevard County Sheriffs reported that the large crowd was trouble free.
SPECTACULAR EXPLORATION TOWER

The parking was convenient and the area merchants seemed to be benefitting from the 5,000 plus concert fans, and all the Cove restaurants looked busy.
The Port security and management was visible throughout the venue and were helping people find their way around the spacious tower park area.
“The people have been really nice and this is our first time at the Port to watch a concert,” said said Renee Jones of Orlando. “We hope to see more concerts here.”
Like the cruise and cargo ships, the new concert and events area at the Port’s spectacular new Exploration Tower, will pump millions of dollars into the Brevard economy.
