BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA  — The Brevard County Sheriff’s Department Violent Crimes Division will provide a free Drug Take Back event during the Doctors Goodwill Foundation Health Fair.

The Doctors’ Goodwill Foundation “Doctors Expo 2014” will feature a special Health Insurance Fair during the philanthropic organization’s day-long array of events set for Saturday, Nov. 8 at the Hilton Rialto in Melbourne, Florida.

On Saturday, Nov. 8, from 9 a.m. until 12 noon, members of the public may bring their unused prescription drugs, to the Health Fair at the Hilton Melbourne Rialto as part of Sheriff Wayne Ivey’s initiative to help reduce misuse of unused prescription drugs.

Members of the public can safely dispose of unused medicines and drugs at the special Brevard County Sheriff station which will be set up at the Hilton Melbourne Rialto as part of Space Coast Medicine Week.

Space Coast Medicine Week is sponsored by Space Coast Medicine & Active Living magazine, Space Coast Daily, M.H Williams Construction, Brevard Physicians Network, First Choice Medical Group, Doctors Goodwill Foundation and many more local companies.

“This is a free service for the public and is an ideal way of safely disposing of unused prescription drugs that might otherwise fall into the wrong hands,” said Dr.Kanti Bhalani, Founder of the Doctors Goodwill Foundation.

“We really want to recognize and thank our Sheriff, Wayne Ivey for making this possible as it is a very popular service.”
