Health First has also implemented more rigorous evaluations of all patients who come to their facilities.

In the event of any suspicious cases, Health First would immediately enact their comprehensive isolation procedures ad emergency management plan.

If there is any indication of an infectious disease such as Ebola, Health First would work with the Brevard County Health Department, who would then coordinate with the Florida Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to ensure optimal patient care.

“We will continue to monitor this situation and adapt our plans, protocols and training to be prepared,” said Dr. Scott Gettings, Health First Chief Medical Officer.

“At Health First, nothing is more important than your safety and we will continue to work hard to improve the health and wellness of our community.”
