BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Women’s soccer players Abbie and Bri Camargo and Jamie Perriello share Eastern Florida State College Student-Athlete of the Week recognition with men’s basketball player Kyle Meyer for the week ending Nov. 23.

The Camargos and Perriello were named to the All-Tournament Team for the 2014 NJCAA Women’s Division I Soccer National Championship tournament in which Eastern Florida finished third.

Perriello scored in EFSC’s 2-0 tournament-opening win against St. Charles Community College and Abbie Camargo notched her school-record 16th assist.

Abbie Camargo scored a goal in a 2-2 tie against Darton State College that advanced EFSC to the semifinals.

Bri Camargo had the assist on the tying goal against Darton.

Perriello netted a penalty kick in EFSC’s 4-2 penalty kick shootout loss to eventual national champion Monroe College in the semifinal.

Meyer scored 20 points including two key three-pointers, grabbed six rebounds, had two assists, two steals and a blocked shot in an 83-54 victory over TAAG Academy.

The victory extended EFSC’s home court winning streak at the Melbourne Campus gym to 34 games.
