Florida Tech Rowing Looks To Close Season On High Note

CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE – Florida Tech will look to close out a strong fall season with a good showing this weekend at the Head of the Hooch on the Tennessee River. The head race spans 5,000 meters or 3.1 miles.

The Panthers will compete in six events over two days starting with the men’s college and club novice four on Saturday at 10:34 a.m.

They will then look to defend two first-place medals in the men’s championship eight at 12:15 p.m. and the men’s championship four at 5 p.m.

Last year, the Crimson and Gray won the eight event at 14:39.1 before capturing first and second in the four at 15:44.9 and 15:47.3, respectively.

Day one will conclude for Florida Tech with two crews competing in the men’s championship pair at 5:40 p.m.

On Sunday, four Panthers will each race in a single at 9:05 a.m. Florida Tech will close out the regatta with three crews in the men’s open eight at 12:30 p.m.
