BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – The Central Brevard Humane Society will be partnering once again with the Space Coast State Fair and Brighthouse Networks to raise money for the homeless animals, during the 28th Annual Space Coast State Fair, November 13 – 23, at Space Coast Stadium in Viera.
Last year, the Humane Society raised more than $7,000 at the Fair by having volunteers work the beer and wine booths during the 11-day event.
These much needed funds enabled them to care for more unwanted and abandoned pets that visited their adoption centers in Cocoa and Merritt Island.
A truly unique organization deeply rooted in Brevard, the Central Brevard Humane Society is a “no kill for space” facility that is self-sustaining, receiving no support from tax dollars.
“It is a pleasure to have such strong supporters in our community as Brighthouse Networks and the Space Coast State Fair,” said Theresa Clifton, Central Brevard Humane Society Executive Director.
All of their funding comes through donations, four Molly Mutt Thrift Shop locations, fundraisers, other pet-related services and their adoption centers in Cocoa and Merritt Island.
This year’s Space Coast State Fair will feature free unlimited rides on the midway, free shows (including “The Castle of Horrors” Haunted House), free concerts and free entertainment, all for just $10 or $15 – a great family value.
Candy apples will be enjoyed by thousands, and of course, all the great fair foods and drinks that people love to enjoy while strolling the fair with their friends will be available.
