Johnson, McReynolds Share Student-Athlete Honors

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Basketball players Nene Johnson and Demetrius McReynolds are the Eastern Florida State College Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending Nov. 30.
Johnson, a freshman point guard from Stuart, Florida and Martin County High School, sank a game-tying layup at the buzzer against Roane State Community College on Friday and sank what proved to be the game-winning free throws in overtime to give EFSC a 68-66 victory in the GPC Thanksgiving Classic in Decatur, Georgia.
Johnson finished with a game-high 19 points. EFSC finished the week with a 5-2 record.
McReynolds, a sophomore guard from Louisville, Kentucky and Butler High School, scored a game-high 24 points to lead EFSC to a 97-55 victory at Florida State College Jacksonville.
McReynolds shot 8-for-12 from the floor including 6-for-9 from the three-point line and grabbed seven rebounds as EFSC improved to 8-1.
