BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Families in Brevard County will now be even more connected to one of the largest pediatric health systems in the country and have access to general pediatric care.

Nemours Children’s Primary Care, Palm Bay opens on December 1, 2014 at 580 Malabar Road SE. Families will have access to services including routine and preventative care, check ups and health-screenings.

Dr. Julio Pajaro is a board-certified pediatrician with over 20 years experience and will be based at the new location. Dr. Pajaro relocated from Hinesville, GA.

“Nemours is most widely known for our pediatric specialists but we also have experts in general pediatrics,” said Dr. Lane Donnelly, chief medical officer of Nemours Children’s Hospital. “Families in Palm Bay can now see a Nemours pediatrician in their community and be directly connected to Nemours Children’s Hospital should they need our specialized care.”

All of the Nemours Children’s Primary Care offices share an electronic health record.

This allows every member of the care team to see a more complete picture of the child’s medical history. This shared electronic information helps Nemours bring families the safest, most cost-effective care.

Earlier this year, Nemours expanded in Melbourne by opening:

• Nemours Children’s Specialty Care which offers expert specialty pediatric care

• Nemours Children’s Urgent Care, available for all children, not just Nemours patients during nights, weekends and holidays

Nemours also expanded specialty pediatric hospital care in Brevard County through an agreement with Wuesthoff Medical Center-Rockledge.

As of September 1, newly recruited, hospital-based pediatric physicians from Nemours are based at Wuesthoff and working closely with local primary care providers. After opening Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando’s Lake Nona Medical City in October 2012, the system now has 20 locations in Central Florida.
