BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – While there is no question that love can make you do crazy things, it shouldn’t make you do dumb stuff, and, to be honest, sending threatening messages to harm someone seems a little bit counterproductive in the first place.
Take, for example, the actions of Daniel Cullivan. This past Tuesday, our Deputies received a call regarding a woman who stated her ex-boyfriend was sending threatening messages to her after they broke up.
Now I’m gonna go out on a limb here and guess ole Daniel doesn’t work for Hallmark as he left voice messages expressing his feelings of wanting to harm her.
Cullivan actually took it a step further by showing up at a location where the victim was in an attempt to confront her. While waiting for Deputies to arrive, Cullivan was throwing things at the residence and even rummaging through the car.
Deputies arrived on scene and asked why he would send the threatening messages, to which he said he was angry.
Well, that’s definitely not the right answer nor the right action to take, but it is the way to go if you are looking to get a new set of matching bracelets.
Now here is where this story gets even better, or maybe dumber is the right word.
As Cullivan was being placed under arrest, he told Deputies he needed his backpack to bring with him, which as it would turn out was not really the best idea either as we found drugs in the backpack.
An inventory search of the bag revealed a weighing scale, small baggies that contained approximately 0.76g of Fentanyl, another bag containing approximately 2.56g of methamphetamine, and a clear pipe with cocaine residue.
Well, as you can imagine, our Concierge at Ivey’s Iron Bar Lodge was more than happy to secure Cullivan’s bag for him, as the lodge is an all-inclusive resort, that includes iconic apparel, slightly used shower slides, stainless steel toilets, our world-famous protein loaf, and of course unlimited refills on our lodge punch, better known as “bug juice!.
Ultimately, Cullivan was booked for Written or Electronic Threats to Kill or Do Harm, Possession Of A Controlled Substance (x2), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Hopefully he doesn’t enjoy his stay too much and will decide not to come back again, but of course the only way to do that is by not breaking the law in Brevard County.
