Attack Victim In Satellite Beach Identified

BREVARD COUNTY • SATELLITE BEACH, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit and Satellite Beach Police Department are investigating the violent attack of Daniel Vukovich, 17, that occurred this morning on Glenwood Drive in Satellite Beach. (See map below)

According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Department, investigators believe Vukovich was targeted, and the attack was not random in nature.

Based on the preliminary investigation, authorities believe Vukovich was attacked in his driveway shortly after 7 a.m. as he was getting into his car to leave for school.

According to the Brevard County Sheriff’s Department, Vukovich was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center where he is undergoing surgery for his injuries, and is currently listed in critical condition.

UPDATE 

School Lockdown Lifted, Police Investigate Shooting

The lockdown of Satellite High School, DeLaura Middle School and Holland Elementary School has been lifted by Brevard County Schools, and an active shooting investigation by police at a residence on Glenwood Avenue continues.

According to police, a man was shot on Thursday morning and taken to the hospital.

Schools Locked Down As Police Investigate Shooting

BREVARD COUNTY • SATELLITE BEACH, FLORIDA – Satellite High School, DeLaura Middle School and Holland Elementary School have been locked down by Brevard County Schools as a result of an active shooting investigation by police at a residence on Glenwood Avenue. (Map below)

Glenwood Avenue and Kale Street have been blocked by authorities, and police are continuing to investigate the incident.
