Fire Units Respond To Blaze At Eau Gallie High School

An electrical fire was reported today at 3:10 p.m. in the Eau Gallie High School cafeteria.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – A fire was reported today at 3:10 p.m. at Eau Gallie High School.

The fire, which was first reported as starting in the cafeteria, was discovered to have started in one of the school’s girls bathrooms.

Arson is suspected and an investigation is underway by state and Melbourne fire officials.

The school, located at 1400 Commodore Boulevard, was evacuated and no injuries were reported.

The school is scheduled to reopen tomorrow morning.
