BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Institute of Technology’s Foosaner Art Museum presents the university’s Jazz Syndicate band from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, March 6, as part of the Eau Gallie Arts District’s FirstFriday Art Walk.

The Jazz Syndicate is led by Capt. Winston Scott, a former shuttle astronaut and accomplished trumpeter who serves as Florida Tech’s senior vice president of external relations and economic development.

Capt. Scott served as a mission specialist on STS-72 in 1996 and STS-87 in 1997, and has logged a total of 24 days, 14 hours and 34 minutes in space.

Jazz Syndicate is Florida Tech’s premier ensemble for advanced improvisation.

In addition to the music, guests at the Foosaner are invited to view Frida Kahlo: Through the Lens of Nickolas Muray, the museum’s current exhibit.
