This “call it like she sees it” column will tackle the tough topics about responsibly owning a pet, keeping your pet safe, and the do’s and don’ts of picking the right pet for you and your family.

In addition, our new Veterinarian, Dr. Sarah Boyd, will weigh in on different topics to include health for pets and the many programs that are vital to pets and our community.

One of the first dogs adopted today was actually adopted by one of our own agency members, Corrections Deputy Jeremy Mullin and his girlfriend Stacie who adopted Lenny from our Brevard County Sheriff's Office Animal Services South Facility. As you can tell from the photo, Lenny is ready to go home with his new family. (BCSO image)
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office partnership with Space Coast Daily will also serve as a launching pad for advertising new adoption programs and announcing locations where our Mobile Adoption Unit will be each week so our citizens can have every opportunity possible to find a new pet for them and their family.
