St. Mary’s Fair Offers Special Needs Children Free Rides

BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – St. Mary’s is celebrating its 56th annual Spring Fair this year by giving children with special needs and their families a free afternoon of rides and games.
The fair with carnival rides, food, games and much more runs from April 8-12.
On Saturday, April 11 children with special needs and their families can enjoy all the rides they can at no cost from noon to 2 p.m.
And from 2 to 3 p.m. game booths sponsored by St. Mary’s school will be free as well.
The organizers are calling the free afternoon Day of Smiles.
“God created every creature and we all have a purpose,” said fair co-organizer Kathy Phelps.
“Day of Smiles is our small way of telling families who have children with special needs that we love them and that they are a welcome part of our St. Mary’s family.”
After 3 p.m. fair goers can donate a non-perishable can of food to benefit Helping Hands food bank. For each donation, a visitor will get one ticket for a chance to win a raffle prize at the end of the evening.
There is no admission cost to attend the fair during its four-day run.
Tickets can be purchased for rides, which are priced individually.
A one-day armband good for unlimited rides can be purchased for $25 onsite or $20 in advance through the fair website.
A $75 mega band ($50 in advance) can be purchased for unlimited rides for the entire length of the fair. Theres also a Day of Smiles t-shirt that can be purchased for $10.
All money raised will be shared between St. Mary’s church and St. Mary’s award winning school.
