BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A 250-mile Coast to Coast Connector, which cuts across the state starting in Brevard County and ending in St. Petersburg, is almost complete.

From the Atlantic Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico, this path for cyclists and hikers is getting closer to reality.

It is almost 75 percent finished, except for gaps totaling about 66 miles.

Those gaps are expected to be filled within five years, including two sections in North Brevard that should be completed within two years.

When it opens, it could help to transform downtown Titusville and part of North Brevard, as it has other communities along the trail’s route.

“It is an incredible economic opportunity,” said Mayor Jim Tulley.

“The trail will come right through downtown. A real plus for Titusville.”
