Cancer Care Centers of Brevard Foundation will host the “Pa’ Mi Gente Danceathon,” showcasing live bands, singers and contemporary dancers on April 12, 2015.
BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Cancer Care Centers of Brevard Foundation will host the “Pa’ Mi Gente Danceathon,” showcasing live bands, singers and contemporary dancers on April 12, 2015.
Featuring guest appearances by Mayor Capote, U.S. Congressman Bill Posey, American Businessman David Siegel and hosted by former Mrs. Florida America, the Queen of Versailles Jackie Siegel.
The event will take place at Coconuts on the Beach on 2 Minutemen Causeway Cocoa Beach, Florida.
The fundraiser will begin at 12 p.m. and last till 8:00 p.m.

Proceeds will go on to benefit local cancer patients undergoing treatments with their basic living expenses and medications.
Angel Vasquez who helped come up with the idea for the fundraiser drew inspiration for the cause when it affected him personally.

“My grandmother Dolores Polanco passed away last year from pancreas cancer and it was devastating for me and my family. I decided to make a difference by proposing a dance event to the Florida Film Commission who re-directed me to Space Coast Film Commissioner Bonnie King,” said Angel Vasquez, who is currently working as an intern for WFIT 89.5 FM Radio & Florida Tech Sports.
“Bonnie loved the idea of dancing to raise money for Cancer patients and she introduced me to Jackie Siegel, Coconuts on the Beach Restaurant and I found the Cancer Care Centers of Brevard and the rest is history in the making.”
A $15 donation is requested, which may be made at the event, or online through Secure PayPal at www.CCCFoundationInc.org

Marta Fiol, Network Development Manager for Cancer Care Centers of Brevard, and Secretary for the Cancer Care Foundation says:

“The funds raised at this event will benefit local cancer patients with their basic living expenses,” said Marta Fiol, who is the Network Development Manager for Cancer Care Centers of Brevard.
“In 2014, the Foundation served 262 families in Brevard County, totaling a cost of $168,000, paying for their rent, water, gas, phone, electricity, pain and cancer related medications as well as transportation to and from treatment.”
“We hope to extend our reach in the coming year through this event,” said Fiol.
