NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA  – Temperatures will rise quickly into the 80s by early afternoon under mostly sunny skies and a west wind.

national-weather-service-180The east coast sea breeze will develop this afternoon and provide some relief along the coast.

The beaches will likely be crowded today and beachgoers are advised that surf zone conditions support a medium chance for life threatening rip currents.

Check with the beach patrol before entering the surf and always swim within sight of a lifeguard.

A cool front will push into north Florida this afternoon and spark scattered thunderstorms.
