Ed and Marguerite Schlitt opened Ed Schlitt Real Estate in 1953, primarily serving Indian River County, but also helping to develop property in Brevard County.

They were joined by their daughter, Linda Schlitt Gonzalez in 1972 and by their son, Steven Schlitt, in 1998.

They were later joined by two of Linda’s children, agents Andrew and Melanie Gonzalez as well as their sister Barb Schlitt Ford who serves as head of operations, human resources and legal.

Following the tradition of their parents, Linda and Steve have grown the company into nine offices covering over 100 miles along Florida’s east coast.

Now known as Coldwell Banker Paradise, the company has a sales force of over 230 sales associates and 48 staff to meet real estate needs for Port St. Lucie, Fort Pierce, South Hutchinson Island, North Hutchinson Island, Vero Beach, Sebastian and Melbourne, Florida.

Most Up To Date Market Information

Focusing on the core values of family, trust, and a deep commitment to community, the Schlitt’s legacy of service goes beyond their decades of service and their good family name.

It can be seen in every transaction and every interaction. Coldwell Banker Paradise also distinguishes itself from other real estate brokers by relying the most up to date market information available.

Each quarter they publish a Quarterly Market Report for each area they serve. This tool, just one of many, provides Coldwell Banker Paradise agents and clients the information they need to make the right choices regarding each sale.

For instance, in the second quarter Brevard County Mainland Quarterly report, co-owner and Broker Linda Schlitt Gonzalez reported that “with inventory so tight across the board, prices are rising, which means good news for both sellers and homeowners.”

In fact, average prices for single family homes in Brevard County increased across the spectrum, resulting in an overall price gain of 14.8%.

“I think people are discovering that the Melbourne and Brevard area real estate is undervalued for these type of estate properties, compared with other coastal communities in Florida like Sarasota, Naples, Vero Beach and those places,” Regional Commercial Director for Coldwell Banker Paradise Mike Jaffe said.

Just last year, the Jaffe Team (Bea and Mike Jaffe) sold the two highest priced properties in Brevard County. Members of the Eau Gallie Yacht Club, Mike and Bea Jaffe have been active in Brevard County for decades.

Mike Jaffe is a PREVIEWS Certified Luxury Residential Specialist, regular Top Producer and a Diamond Circle Award.
