BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA –The Palm Bay Police Department marked a historic milestone this week as it hosted its first-ever Change of Command Ceremony, drawing strong support from the local community and signaling a new chapter in leadership.
The ceremony formally recognized the transition of authority while celebrating the service and legacy of outgoing Police Chief Augello, who dedicated 26 years to serving the city.
Attendees gathered to honor his long-standing commitment to public safety and his impact on the department and community.
At the same time, the event welcomed Chief Spears into his new role, highlighting what officials described as a seamless leadership transition.
