CORAL GABLES, FLORIDA (HurricaneSports.com)– The Miami Hurricanes held their first practices of the week Tuesday, participating in a two-a day session on the Greentree Practice Fields.

The Canes were back to work early, working in full pads under the rising South Florida sun. Miami then returned in helmets for an afternoon practice to close out the day’s work.

With Miami’s set to open the season on Sept. 5 against Bethune-Cookman, head coach Al Golden laid out the plans for his team as they close out #CanesCamp and move into game prep.

“This is moving day; today and tomorrow are moving days, if you’re going to do it,” Golden said.

“Thursday is basically a walkthrough, Friday is game simulation for 40 minutes, but we’re not evaluating anybody there, and then the game is Saturday night.

So, this afternoon and tomorrow, if you’re going to move, it’s time to move because when we wake up Sunday, we’re setting a team – and not that guys can’t grow and develop, and some guys are better in October than they are right now, certainly. But, we got to move forward.”

Defensive back Dallas Crawford is excited about how the team has performed this preseason. The senior believes the 2015 Hurricanes are as deep as they have ever been in his tenure in Coral Gables.

“There’s depth everywhere – every position, especially at safety,” Crawford said.

“Like I said earlier, we have five safeties that can go into the game at any time and hold their own. But at receiver, there’s a lot of depth, at linebacker, there’s a lot of depth, and the D -ine – there’s more depth than there’s ever been since I’ve been here, so it’s great right now.”

Season tickets to the 2015 Miami Hurricanes football season start for as low as $140 – visit CanesTix.com or call 305284-2263 for more information.
