BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida’s volleyball team split two matches on Saturday at Pensacola State College.

The Titans beat Pensacola 24-26, 25-22, 26-24, 25-19 in the first match but fell 23-25, 22-25, 25-18, 20-25 to Gulf Coast State.

Eastern Florida is 8-15 with five matches remaining in the regular season.

Pensacola is 15-8 and Gulf Coast 10-11.

Sophomore Mariana Dal Pozzo had 15 kills against Pensacola. Freshman Malvis Ozrtiz had eight and sophomore Juliana Torres six.

Dal Pozzo recorded 18 kills against Gulf Coast while Torres and classmate Treasure Ingram had nine each.

Eastern Florida now plays its final four Florida College System Activities Association Southern Conference matches seeking to improve on an 0-4 record.

The Titans travel to Miami Dade College on Tuesday, host Palm Beach State at 6 p.m. Thursday and Broward College at 6 p.m. Oct. 20 for Sophomore Night. The Titans visit Indian River State at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 22 for the annual Dig Pink Match.

The Titans conclude the regular season by hosting non-conference Lake-Sumter State College at 2 p.m. Oct. 30. Admission to Titan home matches is free.
