BREVARD COUNTY • BAREFOOT BAY – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit has identified the body discovered in a Barefoot Bay lake on Monday evening as 22-year-old Matthew Riggins of Palm Bay.

Riggins was reported missing on Nov. 13 to the Palm Bay Police Department.

According to Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Spokesman Cpl. Dave Jacobs, an autopsy was conducted on Tuesday and the results of the examination are still pending. Agents are continuing to investigate the circumstances which may have led to the death of Riggins.
