Port Canaveral Volunteers Collect More Than 400 Pounds of Trash During Jetty Park Cleanup

More than 50 volunteers participated in the 25th annual International Coastal Cleanup

BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Port Canaveral employees joined Carnival Cruise Line crew members and community partners to collect more than 400 pounds of trash and debris from Jetty Park during the 25th annual International Coastal Cleanup.

More than 50 volunteers participated in the effort, including crew members from Carnival Cruise Line’s Mardi Gras and Carnival Vista, members of the Propeller Club of Port Canaveral and local residents.

Jetty Park was one of 30 designated cleanup locations across the area. The International Coastal Cleanup is a global Ocean Conservancy initiative supported locally by Keep Brevard Beautiful.

Port Canaveral sponsored the event as part of its continuing commitment to protecting the region’s oceans, beaches and coastlines while promoting environmental preservation and responsible stewardship.

Organizers also thanked Cocoa Beach Express for providing transportation to help Carnival crew members travel between their ships and the cleanup site.
