weVenture Currently Seeking Nominations For Annual ‘Women Who Rock’ Awards Event

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – weVENTURE is currently seeking nominations for its 9th Annual “Women Who Rock” Awards, which will be presented at a March 17, 2016 luncheon in honor of Women’s History Month.
Do you know someone that deserves recognition? Nominations are being accepted in four categories: Entrepreneur of the Year, Excellence in Leadership, Emerging Leader and the Florida Tech Joan Bixby Award.
• The Entrepreneur of the Year Award recognizes a local woman who creates the products; services and jobs that fuel our economy.
• The Excellence in Leadership Award recognizes a female community leader who advocates for positive social change to create a more equitable society.
• The Emerging Leader Award recognizes a female under 30 who demonstrates high ethical standards, commitment, confidence, the ability to serve as an inspirational leader and role model.
• The Joan Bixby Award recognizes a Florida Tech faculty or staff member and a student (male or female) who enhances the climate for women’s participation and development on campus.
Nominations are due by December 19, 2015. A volunteer committee determines awardees. Winners receive a personalized plaque as part of their recognition.
