Hundreds of ‘Future Educators’ Visit Florida Tech’s Campus Friday, Dec. 4

STUDENTS COMING FROM 19 MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOLS IN BREVARD

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Institute of Technology’s Department of Education and Interdisciplinary Science will host 250 middle and high school students from across Brevard County on Dec. 4 as Brevard Future Educators of America holds its annual conference on the university’s Melbourne campus.
This year’s theme is “Teach… it’s a choice and an adventure.”
From 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., students from 13 high schools and six middle schools will attend guest lectures and multiple breakout sessions by pre-service teachers from Florida Tech and the University of Central Florida.
Additionally, students will receive awards for the best student essay, chapter display, student lesson plan, chapter spirit and public service announcement.
