The City of Cocoa Beach has received a $4 million appropriation from the State of Florida to support the construction of a new fire station.
BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA — The City of Cocoa Beach has received a $4 million appropriation from the State of Florida to support the construction of a new fire station.
State Sen. Debbie Mayfield presented the funding during a Cocoa Beach City Commission meeting after helping secure the appropriation for the city.
City officials said the investment will support the future of the Cocoa Beach Fire Department and strengthen emergency services for residents and visitors.
The city also recognized lobbyist Jason Steele, state and local partners, and others who helped obtain the funding.
Cocoa Beach officials thanked everyone who supported the appropriation and described it as an important investment in the Fire Department and the community.
