BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – A record-breaking 648 Surfing Santas paddled out for this year’s event in Cocoa Beach.

On Christmas Eve 2009, George Trosset put on a Santa suit and decided to catch some waves. He had such a great time that the next year he invited some friends to join him and that is how the event has grown over the years.

The festivities took place at 2 Minuteman Causeway in Cocoa Beach, Florida and the proceeds from donations and sales benefitted two local non-profit organizations, including the Florida Surf Museum and Grind for Life.
