Vasquez, Beronja Honored By Eastern Florida State College As Student-Athletes of Week

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Basketball players Paola Vasquez and Djordje Beronja are the Eastern Florida State College Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending Nov. 29.

Vasquez, a sophomore guard from Ciales, Puerto Rico and Florida Prep, averaged 16.3 points per game for three games as Eastern Florida’s women’s basketball team went 1-2 during the week, for a season record of 5-3.

She added a total of 11 rebounds, three assists and three steals. Beronja, a sophomore forward from Novi Grad, Bosnia led the Titans men’s team with 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a 63-58 victory over St. Petersburg College.

The victory extended the men’s season record to 9-1 and their Titan Field House home court victory streak to 52.
