MLK 2016 MEMORIAL PEACE MARCH, COCOA, FLMonday, January 18, 2016 5:29 PMHUNDREDS PARTICIPATED IN MARTIN LUTHER KING JR MEMORIAL PEACE MARCH(Cocoa, FL)—Mayor Henry Parrish along with Chief Mike Cantaloupe and members of the police department participated and assisted with the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Memorial Peace march held Monday on the official observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s birthday which was January 15, 1929. The march, which was led by the Central Brevard Ministerial Coalition began at Provost Park on Varr Ave. and headed east along 520 before coming to an end at Riverside Park in downtown Cocoa. Hundreds participated in the march for peace held each year on or near the birthday of the famed civil rights leader.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Mayor Henry Parrish along with Chief Mike Cantaloupe and members of the police department participated and assisted with the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Memorial Peace march held Monday on the official observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s birthday which was January 15, 1929.

The march, which was led by the Central Brevard Ministerial Coalition began at Provost Park on Varr Avenue and headed east along 520 before coming to an end at Riverside Park in downtown Cocoa.

The Titusville Police Department celebrated Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday with the Titusville community during the annual parade and festivities at Isaac Campbell Sr. Park on Monday, January 18.

The chilly morning did not deter hundreds of Titusville residents from coming out to rejoice in the life and teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This year’s theme was “The Audacity to Dream: The Determination to Achieve.”

“We are so blessed to have the kind of cooperation and partnership in our community and what a prefect day to support Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his vision of Hope’, said Chief John Lau.

Titusville Police Officers lead the parade from the North Brevard Senior Center at 909 Lane Avenue then traveled right on to The South Street and concluded at Isaac Campbell Sr. Park with a Heritage Festival.
