Air Force to present its “Viper East” flight demo
BREVARD COUNTY, TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Only a few weeks after Denny Hamlin wins history’s closest ever Daytona 500, the winning Joe Gibbs Racing Team exhibit will participate in this year’s spectacular Tico Warbird Airshow, March 11-13, at the Space Coast Regional Airport in Titusville.
The team will bring one of their authentic NASCAR Toyota Race Cars, and their unique exhibit trailer, full of NASCAR lore and excitement.
The Joe Gibbs Racing Team joins an already phenomenal lineup for this year’s Tico Airshow.
The U.S. Air Force will present its “Viper East” flight demo, featuring the most maneuverable multi-purpose fighter of our generation, the F-16 Fighting Falcon. The U.S. Navy will present its Tac Demo demonstration flight, with the powerful and versatile F/A-18 Hornet performing over an astonishing range of airspeeds and maneuvers.
Lovers of vintage aircraft will have their fill as we proudly welcome Fifi, the world’s only flying B-29 Superfortress, and reacquaint her with the Mustangs, Mitchells and Corsairs of her youth. The ground displays will include over 50 airplanes, and will include current military aircraft like the MH-53 Sea Dragon helicopter, the tank-killing A-10, and the storied KC-135 jet tanker.
All this happens in a great three day event, including our first ever evening show, Friday night March 11, when we’ll fly illuminated airplanes as the sun sets, entertain you with live music, and close with a brilliant fireworks display.
Gates will open at noon Friday, and at 8:30 a.m. Saturday March 12 and Sunday March 13, as we fly our traditional daytime show.
