BREVARD COUNTY • SATELLITE BEACH, FLORIDA – Base community partnership initiatives continue as a newly signed memorandum of agreement between the 45th Space Wing and the city of Satellite Beach, which allows for expanded youth programs for both military and community youth.

The agreement allows youth in Satellite Beach to access the base Youth Programs’ School Age Care and Open Recreation programs, according to Pam Jordan, 45th Space Wing Airman and Family Services flight chief.

In addition, military youth now have more opportunities to participate in community sports leagues and instructional programming in Satellite Beach.

The base created a partnership with the Space Coast Economic Development Commission and Satellite Beach community leaders to find creative ways to leverage existing capabilities and resources under the United States Air Force’s Community Partnership Initiative.
