The Florida Highway Patrol reported a 25-year old Titusville man died in a single motorcycle crash near Holder Road and State Road 46 in Mims at about 12 midnight on Friday.

BREVARD COUNTY • MIMS, FLORIDA – The Florida Highway Patrol reported a 25-year old Titusville man died in a single motorcycle crash near Holder Road and State Road 46 in Mims at about 12 midnight on Friday.

FHP said the victim, who has not been identified pending notification of next of kin, was traveling southbound on Holder Road, and for an unknown reason, lost control of his 2006 Honda motorcycle, left the road and struck a tree.

The victim and motorcycle then crashed through a fence and onto the east, grass shoulder of northbound I-95.

The victim, who was not wearing a helmet, was discovered by a motorist that happen to become disabled on I-95 just after 6 a.m. Frida morning.

FHP said that the crash remains under investigation.
