BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County School Board Candidate Dean Paterakis was ejected from a school board meeting last Tuesday after allegedly using inappropriate language while discussing the school district’s transgender bathroom policy.

Paterakis, a candidate for District 4 of the school board,  says on his website, “I have experienced first hand as a teacher in Brevard how we no longer put children first.”

Paterakis was arrested as he addressed the school board and a large audience before his allotted 3 minutes was up during public comment.

The school board meeting was to determine whether or not to hold another public meeting on the district’s transgender bathroom policy.

After the school board made several requests for Paterakis to discontinue the alleged inappropriate language, the school board security requested him to discontinue and leave the meeting.
