An exciting month is planned at the Enchanted Forest Sanctuary! Please join us for one of the many programs and events we are offering. All events are free. The Enchanted Forest Sanctuary is located at 444 Columbia Blvd, Titusville.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – We have an exciting month planned at the Enchanted Forest Sanctuary and hope you will join us for some of the many programs and events we are offering. All events are free unless otherwise noted.

Guided Walk every Saturday at 10 a.m. Enjoy a 45-minute guided hike. Please bring hat, water and walking shoes. No reservation needed, unless you are a group of 5 or more.

Tortoise Talks at 11 a.m. on the following Saturdays: July 2, July 16, July 23 and July 30. Get the opportunity to learn about, ask questions, and meet our education animal, Ashton the gopher tortoise, during this 10 minute talk and feeding.

Volunteer Orientation: Saturday, July 2, 3 p.m.; Wednesday, July 20, 10 a.m. The Enchanted Forest Sanctuary is looking for dynamic individuals with a passion for the environment. Come learn about our various volunteer opportunities.

5th Annual Creepy Crawly Day: Saturday, July 9, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.  Try edible insects, meet live animals (including venomous snakes!), enjoy kid’s crafts and educational games, and more as guests explore Creepy Crawlies!

Nature Time for 2-3 Year Olds; July’s theme is Gopher Tortoises. Wednesday, July 13, 10 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. Learn about gopher tortoises and their burrows through hands-on activities and a story. Spots limited. Please call 321.264.5185 to register.

Summer Science: Genes in a Bottle. Friday, July 15, 2 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Learn about the building blocks of life through a DNA science experiment! Student scientists will have the opportunity to extract

DNA from a plant living in the Enchanted Forest and store that DNA in a cool necklace. Program is recommended for ages 8 and up. Please register by calling 321.264.5185. Spots limited. $2 suggested donation to the Friends of the Enchanted Forest for supplies.

The Enchanted Forest Sanctuary management and Education Center was created and is managed under Brevard County’s Environmentally Endangered Lands Program referendum. The referendum was established by voters in 1990 to protect and preserve the rich biological diversity of Brevard County for future generations.

Photography Club: Saturday, July 16, 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. All levels of photographers welcome. View photographs and learn helpful tips during their monthly meeting.

Reptile & Snake Presentation: 2 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Learn about some of the Enchanted Forest’s reptile residents and meet a live snake.

Forest Funday: Sunday, July 17, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Physics of Nature. Children and families are invited to explore the movements and physics of animals of the forest ongoing from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
