Under Leadership of Dan Ferretti, PIRTEK Space Coast Opens New Location In Rockledge

BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – PIRTEK Space Coast has opened a new location at 1265 U.S. 1 in Rockledge. Under new owner Dan Ferretti, the facility will continue to serve the hydraulic hose maintenance and repair needs of the Brevard County area.
Since 2002, the location operated as a corporate-run center.
The new PIRTEK Service & Supply Center will pursue customers in a number of different Space Coast industries, including construction, the port and marine, defense, salt mining and transportation.
“The potential here is unlimited,” Ferretti said. “It all depends on how much exposure you create for the business and raise its visibility.”
Ferretti has a background in finance, contract and accounting services for major defense contractors, including Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman. A native of Long Island, NY, he has lived on the Space Coast 15 years. His wife, Karin, is a franchise development administrator at PIRTEK USA Corporate Headquarters.
“With my wife working for PIRTEK USA corporate and seeing how well other franchises did, I decided I wanted a PIRTEK franchise of my own,” he said.
“When the corporate office made this location available, I immediately raised my hand. The rest is history, as they say.”
Meeting the owners of other franchises and observing how they support one another helped clinch Ferretti’s decision to move forward with purchasing the Space Coast location.
“I had the opportunity to get to know some of the other owners—my impression was that they were very happy with the business,” he said.
Ferretti grew up working for his father’s electrical business, but says he had thoughts of owning his own business as early as his teens.
“I’ve always had the desire to lead my own group of employees and to go out, do something and make a difference,” he said. “I believe this is that opportunity.”

Karin Ferretti, CFE, is certified by the Institute of Certified Franchise Executives (ICFE). Also raised in Long Island, she has worked in franchise acquisition with PIRTEK for 14 years.
“It’s such an interesting and unique business,” she said. “The key to success is to follow PIRTEK’s well-honed franchise business model. It’s as simple as that.”
Dan Ferretti added that PIRTEK Space Coast has an advantage of a team already in place from the previous ownership.
“It’s an established center and the existing team is phenomenal,” he said.
The only franchise of its kind in the United States, PIRTEK provides hydraulic and industrial hose replacement sales and services.
There are 58 PIRTEK Service & Supply Centers and a fleet of Mobile Service Vehicles throughout the United States. Globally, PIRTEK has more than 400 locations and 2,000 Mobile Service Vehicles in 23 countries around the world.
Other Florida PIRTEK locations are in Altamonte Springs, Doral, Jacksonville, Orlando and Tampa. Rockledge is also home to PIRTEK USA’s headquarters.
