VIDEO OF THE DAY: Baby Seal Freed From Fishing Net On The Beach ‘Down Under’

ABOVE VIDEO: Today’s Video Of The Day shows a baby seal being freed from fishing net in South Wales, Australia.
When surfers on Manyana Beach in New South Wales, Australia, encountered a distraught baby seal tangled in a fishing net and caught amongst some branches, the Aussies quickly moved him onto the beach and used a knife to free him.
As soon as he and the net were no longer one, the adorable seal ran and barked his way towards the ocean. “No need to say thanks!” called out one of his saviors.
“After a great surf and some lunch, we were approached by some vacationers and asked if we new anything about baby seals, ” said one of the rescuers, Adam Williams.
“We found the distressed seal tangled up in the shoreline scrub with a green fishing net wrapped around its head. We soon freed it from the scrub and were then able to cut the remainder of the net away from its head, where it was able to slap its way back to the ocean, not once turning around to thank us.”
