(WFTV) – The tropical system over the Gulf of Mexico continues without a name. It has become much better organized and has a well-defined low level center of circulation.

During the last flight, hurricane hunters have found that it has shifted a bit to the southwest, but this is a temporary movement as it is still expected to make a turn to the northeast and head to Florida as it picks up speed.

There is more convection -thunderstorms- building around the storm, and even though minimum barometric pressure has remained similar during the last 24, it’s becoming better organized.

TD9 has basically been stationary all day Tuesday, in additional to some slight shifts to it’s center’s location it’s projected landfall has been delayed to Thursday afternoon or early evening.
