BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police Detectives arrested a 41-year-old man who is suspected of burglarizing Hair Cuttery businesses in Titusville, New Smyrna and Palm Beach County.

A collaborative effort by Titusville Police and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Business Burglary Task Force, successfully tracked and ultimately arrested Ricardo Augustus Wright, 41, of Lantana, Florida, early Friday morning.

The preliminary investigation reveals that at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Friday September 30, Hair Cuttery, located at 3229 Garden Street was reported to have been burglarized, according to a Titusville Police spokesperson.

The suspect smashed the glass front door and stole a deposit bag containing money.

Within thirty minutes, Hair Cuttery, located at 3055 Columbia Boulevard, was reported to have also been burglarized and had the glass front door smashed as means to make entry into the business. Nothing of value was taken, according to authorities.

A description of Wright and his vehicle was released by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Task Force, who were actively electronically tracking the suspects’ vehicle.

Within minutes of the reported burglaries, Titusville Police officers located the suspects traveling on I-95, conducted a traffic stop and took the suspect into custody without incident.

“Technology, teamwork, and some incredible skills stopped this crime spree throughout multiple counties”, said Titusville Police Chief John Lau.

Wright was charged with two felonies, Burglary to an Unoccupied Structure and Grand Theft.

He is being held at the Brevard County Jail with a $19,000 bond.
