ORLANDO, FLORIDA – In honor of Homecoming Week, the UCF football team will don special “reflecting” helmets for the first time in school history, paying homage to one of one of the nation’s best traditions, Spirit Splash.
The special reflective helmet decals feature the UCF stack logo on the left, Knight head on the right and silver sword with black outline down the middle.
Player numbers on the back, UCF logo on the front bumper and the Orlando United logo on the back will also be reflective.
Now, UCF fans have the opportunity to get their hands on a few of these unique helmets. UCFKnights.com will hold an auction of a limited number of these “refelecting” helmets, beginning sometime after the game Saturday.
Stay tuned to UCFKnights.com and UCF’ssocial media accounts for more details on when and how you can bid on your piece of UCF history.
Voted ‘Best Campus Tradition’ in 2011 by the National Association for Campus Activities, Spirit Splash, which takes place in the Reflecting Pond at noon Friday in the heart of campus, officially began in 1995.
It has grown to see tens of thousands of students and alumni participate in the one-of-a-kind pep rally each year.
