City of Titusville Planning Department Requesting Citizen Input On Coast-To-Coast Trail

ABOVE VIDEO: The City of Titusville Planning Department is requesting input from residents and property owners in regards to the possibility of expanding the permissible location of commercial uses within the UMU zoning classification to allow these uses along the Coast-to-Coast Trail.
BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – In response to the recent completion of the Titusville segment of the Coast-to-Coast Trail (the Titusville portion has been named the “Space View Trail”), the City of Titusville Planning Department staff is exploring zoning amendments to accommodate the trail and its’ users.
Based on this opportunity and the number of visitors and residents expected to utilize the trail, staff is now exploring options to expand where certain uses are allowed within the zoning district.
Staff is specifically focusing on properties adjacent to the trail, while protecting existing residential uses in the area.
The City of Titusville Planning Department is requesting input from residents and property owners in regards to the possibility of expanding the permissible location of commercial uses within the UMU zoning classification to allow these uses along the Coast-to-Coast Trail.
The Staff invites all interested persons to attend the a meeting on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 6 p.m.at the Titusville City Hall, located at 555 S. Washington Avenue.
