City of Rockledge Third Annual Memorial Day Ceremony Set Today at Larry L. Schultz Park

BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – The City of Rockledge will host its Third Annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Sunday.
The festivities will begin at 2 p.m. at Larry L. Schultz Park, located at 2560 Fiske Boulevard in Rockledge.
There will be feature guest speakers, special music courtesy of the Community Band of Brevard, Honor Guards from the Rockledge Police Department and VFW Rocket Post 4534, and a wreath-laying ceremony.
The Memorial Day Ceremony originated three years ago when VFW Rocket Post 4534 suspended its annual Memorial Day Parade.
The city felt that it was still very important to commemorate the significance of this special day.

Guest Speakers Include:
- Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey
- Port Canaveral Commissioner Wayne Justice, Rear Admiral (Ret.), U.S. Coast Guard
- Senior Enlisted Advisor for the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute Chief Master Sgt. Boston Alexander, U.S. Air Force
- Col. (Ret.) Danny McKnight, U.S. Army
Regional Director Tom Self, Office of U.S. Senator Marco Rubio, will also attend and read a letter on Senator Rubio’s behalf.
Admission to the ceremony is free, and the public is invited and encouraged to attend.
