Florida Tech’s Ryan Harrington Takes Final Run Ahead of NCAA Selections

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – On the final day of competition, Florida Tech’s Ryan Harrington enrolled at the North Carolina A&T Aggie Last Chance Meet on Sunday to try to lock up his spot in the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field National Championships.

The freshman took his mark in Heat 2 in the men’s 400m dash finals against a loaded field of individuals looking to clinch their own spot in the NCAA Championships. Harrington finished with a time of 47.99, his second fastest run of the season, and ended 20th overall in the event.

The Jacksonville, North Carolina native and number of other Panthers will anxiously wait for the NCAA’s release of its list of qualifiers for the 2017 DII Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, set to go out on Monday, May 15, at 6 p.m. ET.

The NCAA Championships are set for May 25-27 at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
