BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Fire and Emergency Services E12 was dispatched Wednesday about 2 p.m. to 1021 South Park Avenue for an animal rescue.
The caller said there were some “duckies” stuck in a storm drain.
Upon arrival the crew, led by Lt. Vaknin, assessed the situation finding three baby ducklings in the drain, chirping and swimming in circles.
Lt. Vaknin, along wth Driver/Operator Ellis and Firefighter/Paramedic Hartselle, worked together to remove the storm drain, then reach down and retrieve the baby ducks.
“They soon ran off and were reunited with their family – great job Battalion 1/ E12,” said a Titusville Fire Facebook post.
