City of Palm Bay To Host Federal Emergency Management Agency Disaster Assistance Event Sept. 25

The City of Palm Bay, in collaboration with Senator Bill Nelson and United Way, will be holding a Federal Emergency Management Agency Disaster Assistance registration event for Palm Bay residents on September 25, from 2  p.m. to 5 p.m.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The City of Palm Bay, in collaboration with Senator Bill Nelson and United Way, will be holding a Federal Emergency Management Agency Disaster Assistance registration event for Palm Bay residents on September 25, from 2  p.m. to 5 p.m.

This event will be held in the City Hall Annex Community Room, located at 120 Malabar Road.

A team of seven volunteers will be on-hand to help residents fill out FEMA Disaster Assistance forms following Hurricane Irma.

Residents should bring the following information:

• Social security number (one per household)
• Address of the damaged home or apartment
• Description of the property damage
• Telephone number
• Mailing address
• Bank account number and routing numbers for direct deposit

Assistance will be provided on a first come, first served basis. Spots are limited, so residents are encouraged to arrive on time. A second assistance event has been scheduled for October 13.

Please note that this is not an official FEMA event staffed by FEMA representatives, but rather a time for anyone who requires assistance filling out FEMA forms online to get the help that they need. No FEMA funds will be disbursed at this event.
