The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for west central Brevard County until 4:30 p.m.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for central Brevard County until 5 p.m.

At 4:15 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Viera, or near Rockledge, moving north at 10 mph.

HAZARD: 60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT: Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
