BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Melbourne Central Catholic (1-1) defeated Palm Beach Central (1-1) 17-8 in the Hustlers’ home opener Friday night after an extended rain/lightning delay.
MCC Head Coach Stacy Sizemore was happy how his kids responded this week after last week’s tough loss to Buford (GA).
“Our kids bounced back real well this week and had a good week of practice after Buford. Palm Beach Central is a great team and they always play hard. They are real quick and fast up front,” said Coach Sizemore.
“Our kids played together as a team and are continuing to work hard at getting better each day.”
MCC running back Jeff Scott (Sr.) ran all over the Broncos Friday night and recorded one touchdown on the evening. Scott was named the SCD/FNLR Player of the Game.
MCC travels to Archbishop McCarthy (1-1) next week in Fort Lauderdale.
